WEDNESDAY'S SHOPPING |
The weather was nice so I did my shopping Wednesday afternoon instead of today.
I prefer Kroger's canned tuna over any of the name brands I've tried but I couldn't pass up the price on the Starkist. Kroger's was .79 and Starkist was on sale for 50-cents. Even with my senior discount, the Starkist was a better deal. By the way, that's more than half off the regular price. Not that Starkist is worth paying $1.09 per can for. It's not very good tuna, because it tends to be shreds of tuna fish floating in water, but it will be fine in a tuna casserole. Kroger's tuna is an actual chunk of fish.
As I mentioned on Tuesday, the Milky Way bar was a treat for my husband. It's not every day that you find one for only 25-cents and I thought he'd enjoy a treat.
I only bought four containers of yogurt this week because I'm going to stop eating it for a while. I go through phases where I lose my taste for sweet stuff in the morning and the nuts I put in it are expensive. I'll either eat quiche or eggs for breakfast or just have some cooked ground beef topped with cheese. I do like the convenience of having yogurt because I don't have to cook anything, other than to make my "crunchies" every couple of weeks, but it's time for a break.
