THURSDAY'S SHOPPING
A new Aldi store just opened today that's about the same distance from me on the same road as the other location but in the opposite direction. It's actually a little closer so I'll probably shop there from now on. However, I decided not to stop there today because people were lined up out the door and around the side of the building for the grand opening. I really wanted to get the 99-cent eggs but decided that I'd rather not wait in line just for eggs and a few other things that I didn't need all that much.

  1. I did go to the new Aldis about 10:30 not too crowded at that time. The freebies they gave away weren't very low carb friendly ( granola bars, micro popcorn, instant oatmeal & trail mix. bagged peanuts is about the only thing I will eat) I did get the .99 eggs and managed to spend 25.00 to use the 5.00 coupon. LOL

    1. Maybe they'll still have the eggs for that price next week. I had the $5.00 coupon with me just in case I spent $25 but I doubt if I would have. I was only going to get four dozen eggs, a couple blocks of Swiss cheese and maybe some jalapenos. You can see why it wasn't worth waiting in line.
