Do you mind if I ask you a few questions again? :-) I learn so much from you, Linda. My budget is nearly twice as yours. I'm trying to figure out what I am doing wrong.
ReplyDelete1. Is there a strategy why you shop twice a week?
2. How long do you try to make your casseroles last?
Thanks, Linda.
I shop twice a week because on Tuesday's I go by a couple of stores that aren't quite as near by as the ones I go to on Thursday. I figure I might as well catch their sales while I'm in the area and it also gives me a chance to pick up any fresh produce I might need that would have gone bad had I bought it the previous week on Thursday.
DeleteI don't try to make my casseroles last a particular length of time but I figure at least three days for most of them when planning my menu since there are only two of us at home now. Most of the casseroles that I make serve about six or more. I love leftovers because I get to eat dishes that I love for a few days in a row and I don't have to cook something new every day.
