This looks SO good, but it has a couple of ingredients I've never heard of. Can you tell if there are any substitutions or explain what they are? "garam masala" and "sambal oelek" I have all the other ingredients. Thank you for this awesome site and your other one. I've followed it for a long time and it continues to be the best source on the web for low carb.

Garam Masala is a blend of spices. You can buy it already blended where they sell spices in jars in the baking aisle. The store I shop at has a bulk spice section where you can measure out exactly how much you want and it's much cheaper than the jars. It's a blend of coriander, cumin, cardamom, peppercorns, fennel, mustard seed, cloves, chile and turmeric. That's a lot of different spices to have to buy to make your own which is why I bought it already mixed.
